Our 7 bedroom ex convent is a full Bed and Breakfast with a delicious continental breakfast served at the time you request. Please note: this is hosted accommodation. We live in a semi- separated part of the house and so will come through from time to time to clean bathrooms, collect laundry and service the areas. You have your own 4 bathrooms (2 shower rooms and two toilet rooms) , lounge and kitchenette and 7 bedrooms. The laundry is a shared space.
Stratford is a very convenient place to stay in that it is an easy drive to both Dawson Falls Visitor Center (25 minutes) or the Mountain Ski field and carpark at the end of Pembroke Road (20 minutes) , the many properties that are featured in our popular Garden festival and our wonderful attractions in New Plymouth
Our Lodge once was the local convent, home to the Sisters who used to teach at the local Primary School. As such, you will enjoy eating or relaxing in our Chapel dining room with its stained glass windows and high pitched ceiling.
Our kitchenette is mall but is packed with good appliances.There is a fridge, microwave, electric jug and most of the cook ware you need for the 2 ring hob. An electric frypan and a toasted sandwich grill are in the cupboards. On the bench is air air fry oven and an expresso machine can be taken out from under the bench. One empty cupboard with two shelves is available for storage of a small amount of packaged food.
Our one level house is easy to access from outside for those with disabilities but not easy access into the rooms for wheelchairs as doorways are narrow.
There is free carparking on site and a camera looking over the carpark and entrance door is turned on during your stay.

We do not charge a cleaning fee so expect the kitchen to be left clear and things tidied and put away.
Property suitable for small children but children need supervision. A selection of age suitable toys and books and games is provided but our board game collection is not for young children.
